What You’ll Do
- Provide first assist support in adult cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and ascending aortic procedures
- Assist with procedures such as sternotomies, chest tube, and pacing wire placements
- Support mechanical circulatory support procedures including Impella, ECMO cannulation, and IABP exposure
- Participate in endoscopic vein harvesting and other perioperative activities
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and procedural success
- Document procedures accurately in Epic EMR system
What You Need
Required:- Missouri RN license
- Board certification in relevant specialty
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
