What You’ll Do

• Support cardiothoracic surgical cases, including CABGs, robotic thoracic, and chest surgeries
• Assist during open surgeries, TAVR valves, LVAD, and Impella placements, working closely with the advanced heart failure team
• Provide first assist during surgical procedures, including endoscopic vein harvesting
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of staff and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document procedures accurately within EPIC EMR system
• Maintain compliance with all licensing and procedural standards

What You Need
Required:

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• NC State Medical License
• Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cardiothoracic surgery
• Endoscopic vein harvesting experience
• DEA licensure
• Vaccinations as required

Preferred:

• Experience with robotic thoracic surgeries and LVAD/Impella placement
• Ability to work night shifts confidently
