Excellent benefits Modern Healthcares Best Places to Work - since 2012 Details: Full-time with benefits 40 hours per week Regular schedule is 7:30am to 4pm Weekends - 2-3 timesper year forinventory (one Saturday in June one in December) No call coverage (may be asked to help out on occasion if needed to cover for someone else) JOB SUMMARY: Each job title holds the core responsibility of supporting materials management and surgical supply operations with the delivery of exceptional customer service delivery throughout the Stillwater Medical Center System.The Surgery Case Cart Specialistis located in Surgery Central Supply as is accountable to the Director of Materials Management Surgical Services. (Surgery provides staff coverage in the absence of this individual). Responsible for pulling all required supplies for each surgical case as well as putting up supplies post case. Also, documenting used/unused supplies to ensure accurate timely charging to patients through the integrated hospitals information systems. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED Equivalent. Satisfactory work experience demonstrating ability to be self-driven in time management and willingness to accept responsibility. Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone. Ability to see, or with corrective lenses to read product labels and preference cards. Excellent Customer and People Skills. Multi-tasking and Organization Skills. Basic and inventory mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; prepare cost analysis and comparative analysis. Understands the concept of inventory management PAR level systems and simple accounting (debits and credits). Time Attendance: understand the importance of arriving to work without unscheduled absence; the ability to master the use of the time clock effectively and accurately; and to understand the importance of arriving on time and departing on time. Ability to acknowledge and recognize the contributions of others in our work environment and Manage Them Up to the director. Ability to represent the Materials Management Department and the Stillwater Medical Center in a positive manner. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and running up stairs. Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel. Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination. Able to hear, listen, and accurately relay information via telephone, cellular phone, and Vocera. Stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete necessary work within the allotted time frame. Stamina to process acquisitions within 24 hours of receipt of the requisition.
