What You’ll Do

• Cover general surgery and trauma call shifts at a Level 3 hospital
• Provide inpatient surgical care for adult patients with a focus on trauma and emergency procedures
• Collaborate with hospital staff, ER, and OR teams to deliver high-quality surgical services
• Manage a varied caseload with limited clinic duties
• Conduct phone consults as needed during call hours
• Support hospital staff in emergency situations, ensuring prompt and effective patient care
• Document patient interactions using Meditec EMR system

What You Need
Required:

• WV or IMLC license
• Minimum of 2–7 days for credentialing if applicable
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Ability to work in inpatient adult surgical settings
• Prior trauma or emergency surgery experience preferred

Preferred:

• Experience with emergency surgery procedures
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

This temporary shift requires coverage for weekend trauma and general surgery call at a Level 3 hospital. You will be supporting adult inpatient surgical cases with a team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes. Credentialing is quick, and temporary privileges are granted to facilitate smooth onboarding. Lodging arrangements are in place at a nearby hotel with a discounted rate.
