Join Our Dynamic Surgical Team as a Surgery Nurse Practitioner!

Required Skills:
  • Valid NY State License as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in surgical or acute care settings
  • Proven ability to perform wound cauterization, vessel management, suturing, and skin closure
  • Strong knowledge of hemostasis, patient positioning, and intraoperative assistance
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system and automated medication dispensing (Pixys)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries
  • Background in General Surgery, OB/GYN, or Orthopedics
  • Familiarity with inpatient rounding, order management, and discharge procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or higher in Nurse Practitioners role
  • Prior experience providing surgical first assist and floor coverage in a hospital setting
  • Experience working in a Level 1 Perinatal Center, Primary Stroke Center, or DNV-accredited facility

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for full-time coverage starting September 2026, with flexible shifts including days, weekday call, weekend call, and some weeknight call shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing acutely ill adult patients
  • Must adhere to dress code, safety standards, and professional conduct policies
  • Willingness to travel or reimbursements as applicable for certain assignments
