What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive surgical and perioperative care
• Assist with surgical procedures including wound cauterization, vessel management, suturing, and hemostasis
• Aid in positioning patients and applying pressure or pressure devices during surgeries
• Support patient care on medical-surgical floors, including rounding, managing orders, discharges, and consults
• Cover a variety of surgical specialties including General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedics
• Ensure patient safety by immobilizing and assisting during procedures, monitoring bleeding, and maintaining optimal patient positioning
• Perform or assist with suction, irrigation, drainage, and wound packing as needed

What You Need:

• Required: NY State License, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, at least 2 years of recent surgical experience, board certification
• Preferred: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently in fast-paced environments

About the Assignment:
Provide care in a reputable hospital with 109 beds, equipped with advanced electronic health records (EPIC) and automated medication systems. The unit cares for acutely ill adult patients across multiple surgical disciplines. The RN team supports safe, quality patient care, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism.
