Surgery Scheduler (Bilingual)

The Surgery Scheduler (Bilingual) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow at our established vein clinics located in Irvine and Laguna Woods. This position requires efficient management of scheduling surgeries, coordinating with patients and insurance providers, and supporting staff with medical documentation, all while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to communicate effectively with our diverse patient base. The role involves occasional travel between the two clinic locations and daily use of EMR/EHR systems, phone and email platforms, and insurance verification tools.

Locations: Irvine and Laguna Woods
Shift: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm  (Contract-Hire)

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound phone lines and patient communications bilingually
• Schedule surgical appointments accurately across both clinic locations
• Verify patient insurance information and coverage
• Prepare and organize patient charts using EMR/EHR software
• Coordinate patient visits and follow-ups between clinic sites
• Utilize medical terminology appropriately in documentation and communication
• Perform additional front office/administrative support as needed
• Occasionally travel between Irvine and Laguna Woods clinics as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in surgery scheduling
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
