Join One of North Texas' Premier Cardiology Practices

Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates is looking for an experienced Surgery Scheduler to join our growing cardiovascular team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating complex schedules, working closely with physicians, and helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. You'll be responsible for scheduling cardiovascular procedures while providing outstanding service to patients from start to finish.

What You'll Do

As our Surgery Scheduler, you'll coordinate every aspect of cardiovascular procedures from scheduling through completion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Schedule cardiovascular procedures with hospitals and surgery centers
  • Coordinate physicians, patients, hospitals, and medical vendors
  • Obtain prior authorizations, referrals, and insurance pre certifications
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Coordinate pre operative testing, imaging, laboratory work, and required documentation
  • Educate patients regarding procedure preparation, medications, arrival instructions, and follow up care
  • Maintain physician procedure calendars and communicate schedule changes
  • Work closely with clinical staff, providers, billing, referrals, and hospital personnel
  • Assist the front office with patient check in, scheduling, phones, insurance verification, and collecting copays as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Minimum 3 years of surgery scheduling experience (required)
  • Cardiology or specialty practice experience strongly preferred
  • Experience obtaining prior authorizations and insurance verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance
  • Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus 

Schedule

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • No evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel between our Dallas and Heath locations may be required.
