Surgery Scheduler

Regional Hand Center is growing and has a new opportunity for an experienced SURGERY SCHEDULER - This at will, full time position is a part of a supportive, interactive team. The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling emergent and routine surgeries. Working to maximize the efficiency of the ambulatory surgery center staffing and resources while ensuring superior quality of care for patients, families and internal customers.RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:Scheduling SurgeriesScheduling pre and post-operative AppointmentsScheduling Post-Operative AppointmentsInterfacing with patients, surgeons, staff, referring providers, departments, adjusters, vendors, etc.Obtaining insurance Authorizations or Pre CertificationsPrior Experience/Qualifications:Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) HST/NextGenPrior experience with insurance verification, preauthorization,Familiar with medical clearances as they relate to surgical patients.Familiar with referrals, authorization, pre certifications, and eligibility.Experience with patient financial counseling and collecting out of pocket expenses from patients and families.Demonstrated excellent organizational, customer service, professional written and verbal communication skills.Bilingual - English/SpanishREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Graduate or equivalentMINIMUM of (1) year of Surgery scheduling experienceBilingual English and SpanishPreferred:ASC experienceMA certificationJob Type:Job Type: Full-time (M-F)RHC is a California at-will, equal opportunity employer offering a friendly, engaged work environment, and competitive benefits.
