Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the surgery schedule including coordination with surgeons and use of software.
  • Works closely with physicians in the Department of Anesthesia to coordinate and communicate anesthesiologist assignments.
  • Prepares and distributes the surgery schedule.

Qualifications

Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Completion of college level course-work in business or administrative sciences preferred Experience• Experience as a scheduling clerk in an acute care hospital preferred• Familiarity with surgical procedures and proven knowledge of Medical Terminology obtained from previous work experience or class preferred• Experience with EPIC preferred
