Surgical Scheduler (Temporary Assignment)

New Haven, CT
Temporary | Hiring ASAP!
$28.43 per hour
37.5 hours/week | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scheduler to join a busy practice in New Haven, CT. This is a temporary assignment with an immediate need, offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all surgical scheduling for 5-6 providers
  • Schedule operating room (OR) time, procedures, and related appointments
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital departments
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with scheduling protocols
  • Manage changes, cancellations, and urgent scheduling needs efficiently
  • Maintain clear communication with patients regarding surgery details

Qualifications

  • Previous surgical/OR scheduling experience required (busy practice environment)
  • Epic experience highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
