  • Shift Times: 7:30am - 4:00pm and could possibly move to 8am - 4:30pm after training
  • Schedule: Remote role; with exception of training

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience scheduling patients in a healthcare clinic or specialty practice
  • Current or recent experience using EPIC for scheduling and patient coordination
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes
  • Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare scheduling workflows
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when working with patients and families
  • Proven reliability, strong attendance, and ability to work independently in a remote setting
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling activities for the Pediatric Neurosurgery department, including surgical and clinic scheduling
  • Manage EPIC scheduling workflows, including appointment scheduling, updates, and in-basket messaging
  • Coordinate required pre-procedure services such as imaging, labs, or pre-admission testing when applicable.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with tracking prior authorizations when required.
  • Ensure accurate patient information, scheduling details, and documentation are maintained in EPIC.
  • Communicate appointment details, instructions, and preparation guidelines clearly to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure smooth scheduling coordination.
  • Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts, cancelations, or urgent requests while maintaining efficient clinic flow.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and internal departments to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain organized scheduling workflows while adapting to shifting priorities in a high-volume pediatric specialty clinic.
