We’re looking for an experienced ophthalmology professional who enjoys working directly with patients and wants to play an important role in their journey toward better vision. This position is ideal for someone who understands the cataract surgery process, is comfortable having conversations about premium lens options, and thrives in a busy, patient-focused environment.
You’ll work closely with physicians and the clinical team to help patients move confidently from their consultation through surgery. This is a highly visible role where your ability to communicate, stay organized, and build trust with patients will make a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
Guide patients through the cataract surgery process, answering questions and helping them understand their treatment options.
Have thoughtful conversations with patients about premium lens technologies and how different options align with their individual vision goals.
Coordinate everything from surgery scheduling and pre-operative requirements to communication with the surgery center.
Partner with physicians and clinical staff to make sure patients are properly prepared for their procedures.
Manage lens selections and IOL orders, paying close attention to accuracy and timing.
Keep patients informed throughout the process and serve as a reliable resource for questions about preparation, costs, scheduling, and what to expect.
Keep multiple surgical cases moving forward while staying on top of documentation, authorizations, and other details.
Build strong relationships with patients and provide a level of service that makes them feel informed and taken care of.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Experience coordinating cataract surgeries is highly preferred.
Familiarity with premium IOLs and refractive technologies is a plus.
You’re comfortable educating patients about elective treatment options without coming across as overly sales-driven.
You communicate well with both patients and medical professionals.
You’re highly organized and can manage a busy schedule without losing sight of the details.
You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced practice where priorities can shift throughout the day.
Experience with EMR and medical scheduling systems.
