Surgical Associate IV - St. Peter's Hospital Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

Principal Responsibilities:
- Medications are prepared, ordered, organized and maintained in accordance with established standards policies and procedures.
- Assists anesthesia with placement and securing of central lines
- Assists with complex anesthesia procedures
- Demonstrates ability to determine specific monitoring devices needed for surgical cases
- Demonstrates knowledge and practice of aseptic technique when setting up invasive monitoring lines
- Maintains sterile integrity during invasive anesthesia procedures
- Monitors aseptic practice of Level I-III Clinical Associate staff
- Able to trouble shoot OR and Anesthesia equipment
- Performs routine maintenance of anesthesia and OR equipment
- Participates with interviewing new hires
- Provides input for Clinical Associate orientation and annual performance reviews
- Prepares time schedules for Clinical Associate staff
- Comprehends and applies principles of adult learning
- Functions as a preceptor to Level I - III staff
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and 6 to 9 college credits.
- 1-2 year's experiences in a health care environment.
Pay Range: $19.20 - $25.58
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
