We Are Hiring:

Location: Austin, TX

Department/Specialty: Spine and Scoliosis

Schedule: Full Time, Days 

What You Will Do:
  • Coordinate surgical schedules as a Surgical Scheduler to maximize operating room efficiency, equipment utilization, and clinical staff productivity.
  • Partner with physician offices to gather necessary patient information, accommodating physician requests while prioritizing optimal patient care delivery. Manage block times, operating suites, and medical equipment allocation to streamline workflows for the interdisciplinary team.
  • Perform precise clinical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) to secure insurance details and prevent administrative delays.
  • Adjust scheduling dynamically to accommodate emergency surgeries, ensuring seamless care coordination and maintaining strict safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with the patient admitting department to streamline the pre-surgical intake process and improve overall quality improvement metrics.
What You Will Need:

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences:
  • Prior surgery scheduling experience required
  • Prior experience with spine surgery scheduling preferred
