What You’ll Do

As a Surgical Scheduler, you’ll help ensure patients feel educated, prepared, and supported throughout the surgical process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with patients regarding pre-operative and post-operative care and scheduling
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures, lens options, and treatment plans
  • Explain financing options and assist patients with applications such as CareCredit when needed
  • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Review surgical instructions, paperwork, and consent forms with patients
  • Collect applicable patient payments and ensure documentation is completed properly
  • Prepare and organize surgical charts and required paperwork for surgery centers and hospitals
  • Scan and maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation
  • Perform preliminary testing and assist in counseling patients regarding lens options
  • Deliver a compassionate, professional, and reassuring patient experience
