    We are looking for a compassionate and organized Surgical Scheduler to join our growing surgical team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in guiding patients through every step of their surgical experience — from education and scheduling to financing and post-operative communication.

    What You’ll Do

    As a Surgical Scheduler, you’ll help ensure patients feel educated, prepared, and supported throughout the surgical process.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Communicate with patients regarding pre-operative and post-operative care and scheduling
    • Educate patients on surgical procedures, lens options, and treatment plans
    • Explain financing options and assist patients with applications such as CareCredit when needed
    • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
    • Review surgical instructions, paperwork, and consent forms with patients
    • Collect applicable patient payments and ensure documentation is completed properly
    • Prepare and organize surgical charts and required paperwork for surgery centers and hospitals
    • Scan and maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation
    • Perform preliminary testing and assist in counseling patients regarding lens options
    • Deliver a compassionate, professional, and reassuring patient experience

    Prior medical office, surgical scheduling, or ophthalmology experience preferred but not required

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    This is primarily a sedentary role involving extended periods of sitting, phone communication, computer work, and detailed documentation review. Strong visual attention to detail and clear verbal communication are essential to success in this position.
