Hourly Hiring Range: $17.21 USD to $27.88 USD

Surgical Scheduler

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Surgical Scheduler performs scheduling, clerical and reception duties. The Scheduling Assistant requisitions supplies and services as directed.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Education: High school graduate or GED, medical terminology
  • Experience: 1-3 years experience in a healthcare setting , prefer scheduling experience and demonstrated success at customer service
  • Special Skills: Must read and write, use a computer, be extremely organized and have a high level of attention to detail

    • Director of Surgical Services
  • Supervises:
  • Other Contacts: 
    • RN’s, Shift Coordinator, Chief Nursing Officer, Surgeons, Surgeon’s Offices, Anesthesiologists, patients, patient’s families.

    • Basic office equipment
  • Physical Demands:
    • Mostly sedentary work. Occasional lifting supplies/ equipment.
  • Working Conditions: 
    • Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
