Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $65.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day (5x8 Hours), 6:45 AM 3:00 PM

Job Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for a CVOR Surgical Technologist with Cardiothoracic and Vascular experience at a Short Term Acute Care facility in Lubbock, TX. The position features a Reduced Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) of 0 hours versus the standard 40-hour NBO, and all orientation hours are billable for preferred profiles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrub and provide surgical technologist support in cardiovascular and vascular OR procedures
  • Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:3
  • Participate in on-call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Required Skills

  • Travel experience in Surgical Services / CVOR setting
  • Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical experience required
  • Ability to maintain a 1:3 patient ratio
  • On-call availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Education Requirements

  • NBSTSA certification required (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in Cardiovascular surgery required

  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in Cardiovascular surgery
  • Travel experience as a Surgical Tech / CVOR Tech required

  • On-call required: Yes nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Expected patient ratios: 1:3
  • 48-hour shifts: Not approved
  • Department Dress Code (licensed nursing personnel RN, LVN): Solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire; scrub tops may have colored piping; print tops are not acceptable except for licensed staff in the Children's Hospital (PED, Pedi, PICU, NICU); Women's Services (L&D, Mom/Baby) will meet the requirements for their unit-specific scrub attire
  • Department Dress Code (unlicensed personnel US, CNA, PCA, NT, MT): Solid hunter green colored uniforms or scrub attire; print tops are not acceptable except in the areas noted above
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space; please park in any of the free surface parking lots with signs that say Employee/Visitor Parking
