Surgical Services Scheduler - Operating Room, Part Time

Overview

Responsibilities

Scheduling

• Schedules all surgical procedures, necessary equipment, and pre-op testing to ensure a smooth surgical course for the patient.
• Coordinates patient scheduling with the surgeon's office, and confirms bed availability for inpatient admissions.
• Schedules all procedures per blocked scheduling requirement and is proactive in filling all daily surgical slots.
• Interacts with the physician offices and other involved departments to obtain the necessary patient information and records to assure a safe surgical procedure.
• Consults with other departments, as needed and appropriate, to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's pre and post-surgical needs.
• Performs daily chart audits.
• Assists with Pre-op Interview Patient Flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of similar experience required.
• Area of Interest: Secretarial/Clerical/Administrative
• Pay Range: $17.00/Hr. - $26.35/Hr.
• FTE/Hours per pay period: 0.60 - 24 hrs/per week
• Shift: Day
