• Shift / Schedule: Evening shift, 1500 2330 (5x8 Hours), Monday Friday with rotating weekends

Job Summary

This is a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) travel contract role within Surgical Services at an Acute Care Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. The position requires a seasoned traveler with a minimum of 4 years of experience; first-time travelers will not be accepted. The SPT will work alongside new hires and is expected to serve in a precepting capacity. The role includes rotating weekend coverage, on-call obligations, and floating between like units per operational need.

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician required
• Seasoned traveler required first-time travelers are not accepted
• Experience precepting or orienting new hires expected

• Total Staffed Beds: 277
• Patient census: 20 30
• Rotating weekends required
• On-call required; call-back obligations apply
• Floating between like units required (per manager discretion)
• Block schedule: open per manager discretion
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs provided by facility
• RTO restrictions apply RTO must be included at time of submission
• Local candidates accepted
• Pending license not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
• Employment overtime: 1.3% over 8 regular hours in a day OR 40 regular hours in 1 week
• Holiday rate: 1.3%
• On-call rate: $15.00
• Call-back rate: 1.3%
• Charge rate: $2.50
• Double time: None
