TITLE: SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST
JOB OVERVIEW: A primary function of the surgical technologist is as the ";scrub person"; in the surgical suite and other clinical areas.

AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Surgical Services
RESPONSIBLE TO: Patient Care Manager or Designee
PREREQUISITES:
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, with recent experience in an acute care facility or equivalent training.
Current registration to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of Washington.
Certification preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Capable of comprehending, executing, acting, and directing independently.
Able to communicate effectively in oral and written form in the English language.
Neat and well-groomed appearance.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with the physical and emotional developments of all ages served.
Demonstrates ability to actively participate and apply the Valley Values in daily work.
