Position Summary:
Provides for the care and safety of the surgical patient prior to, during, and after the surgical procedure. Prepares and maintains the sterile surgical field for each procedure and assures proper handling of instruments afterward.
Position Qualification:
Certification is a requirement for employment in the State of Tennessee as a surgical technologist, a graduate of an CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or an U.S. military surgical technology program.
