Job Title: Surgical Technician

Hourly Pay Rate: $38.02

Shift: Day Shift, 12 Hour

Job Description:
This role involves assisting in procedures competently and professionally, ensuring proper handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and ensuring availability of equipment for surgical procedures. The Surgical Technician will scrub for surgical procedures and perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN). Responsibilities include performing direct patient care duties, assisting physicians during procedures, and supporting the daily operations of the department. The technician must maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, and credentials, adapt positively to change, and ensure cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures. This position requires physical exertion, exposure to blood and body fluids, and a commitment to maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accepted surgical technology certification course
  • 2+ years of surgical tech experience in L&D
  • Certification in Surgical Technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently
