What You’ll Do
  • Assist physicians during procedures by providing competent, professional support.
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring appropriate handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Help ensure equipment and supplies are available and ready for the needs of each procedure.
  • Scrub for surgical procedures and support the clinical workflow as directed by the RN.
  • Assist with day-to-day departmental operations, including maintaining required clinical knowledge and technical skills.
  • Support quality and safety by helping ensure cleanliness and disinfection of equipment (including endoscopes) per quality control measures.
  • Adapt to change in a positive, constructive manner and perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accepted Surgical Technology program
  • Certification in Surgical Technology (CST or equivalent)
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • 2+ years of experience in the specialty

Preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and demonstrate good clinical judgment
