Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in surgical procedures with professionalism and competence, ensuring the proper handling of equipment and supplies, and supporting the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced medical environment where attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount.
Pay Package: $1,620 Weekly
Shift: 6:30am - 5pm
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with graduation from an accepted surgical technology certification program
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar medical setting
- Basic analytical skills and good organizational capabilities
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in maintaining clinical knowledge, technical skills, and equipment standards
- Ability to adapt positively to changes and new procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prior experience working in a surgical or endoscopy environment
- Proven capability in sterilization, disinfection, and technical support in a surgical setting
Other Requirements:
- Certification in Surgical Technology is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required
- Ability to exert physical effort, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potentially infectious materials
- Occupational exposure to hazardous medications and waste may be encountered
- Ability to work in patient care areas with potential occupational risks
