Job Title: Surgical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly motivated individual to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate surgical needs and assist in preparing the operating room for daily procedures. The role involves assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and inventory of the operating room, ensuring patient safety as the top priority.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that the pre-operative checklist is complete.
  • Conduct preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and stocking of operating room supplies.
  • Assist RN in preparing instruments and supplies for the operating room.
  • Clean the operating room properly.
  • Assure the day-to-day maintenance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and check expiration dates of supplies.
  • Participate in the surveillance of quality control measures.
  • Engage in team meetings and continuing education.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and teach others.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and logistical needs.
  • Proactively identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ambiance of the operating room.
  • Communicate clearly with management about operations.
  • Work collaboratively with owners, advisors, injectors, and the team to enhance client experience.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of clinical experience, with a focus on plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  • Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist in facial plastic surgery, preferably within a private practice.
  • Hands-on experience with facelift and facial procedures; rhinoplasty experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to scrub in for facial surgeries, including extended operative cases.
  • Thorough knowledge of sterile techniques, including proper patient prepping and draping.
  • Certified Surgical Technician.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Teamwork-oriented mindset with a "can do" attitude.
  • Flexibility, dependability, punctuality, and empathy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
