Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity and women's services, ICU and cardiology services in the advanced cardiac catheterization lab.Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech: Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse. Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies. Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual. Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology ProgramHigh School diploma or GEDBLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements: One year of Surgical Technology experience Certified Surgical Technologist through the NBSTSA or NCCT
