Surgical Technologist (CST) - Orthopedic Operating Room (26153713)
Surgical Technologists in the Orthopedic Operating Room are responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, as well as assisting the surgical team during procedures. They work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up equipment and supplies • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during procedures • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines • Follow proper infection control and sterilization procedures • Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
Requirements:
• Associates degree in Surgical Technology or related field • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) • 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
