What You’ll Do:
As a Surgical Technologist in the CVOR at Wellstar Kennestone, you will play a vital role in assisting our surgical teams during complex cardiovascular procedures. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes. You'll work a consistent schedule, including day shifts, late shifts, weekend call, and night coverage, providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication with healthcare providers
  • Capability to delegate and multi-task effectively
  • Ability to function calmly under stress and in emergency situations
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of surgical procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Critical thinking and quick adaptability to changing situations

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous Epic EMR system experience
  • Experience in cardiovascular or operating room settings
  • Certifications in related specialized areas or advanced surgical skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, TS-C, CSFA, CSA) or willingness to obtain certification
  • Prior experience in surgical environments is highly desirable

Other Requirements:
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross BLS (must be noted as willing to obtain if not already held)
  • Ability to work a 3x12-day shift schedule including late shifts and call responsibilities
  • Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations starting March 2, 2026
  • Ability to secure necessary licensing, certifications, and travel reimbursements as applicable

Compensation for this role is highly competitive at $40.20 per hour, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
