Location: Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15,000.00 (prorated based on hours worked per week) with a 2 year commitment. External and internal eligible candidates only.

Position Details:
Position Summary:Assists in the delivery of patient care by handling instruments during operative procedures and by performing a variety of duties related to the preparation, processing and arrangement of surgical instruments and supplies under a Registered Nurse. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: neonatal (birth to 30 days), pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).Essential Functions:
Minimum Required Qualifications:Candidates must meet one of the following categories:Category 1:· High School Diploma or GED· Completion of a surgical technologist program sponsored by an entity holding nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation· Must maintain a Surgical Technologist certification from an accredited certification program within six months of hire immediately following successful completion of a Surgical Technology ProgramCategory 2:· Completion of a U.S. military training program in Surgical Technology through the Army, Navy, or Air ForceCategory 3:· Previously employed as a Surgical Technologist at a Penn Medicine healthcare facility on or before December 29, 2020, OR· Employed in a surgical technologist role at another healthcare facility as the primary function at any time during the two years prior to December 29, 2020.Preferred Qualification:· Basic Life Support Certification
