We have 10 state of the art, operating rooms for general surgery, colorectal, breast and plastic surgery reconstruction, urology, robotics, and neurosurgery cases located in the ACC at Norman Regional Hospital. Our Surgical Technologists demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient our Surg Techs to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area.
Responsibilities:

Provides for a sterile environment
Prepares for procedure
Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes
Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff
Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice
Qualifications:
Education
Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
Experience
Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
National Certification is highly preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
