Job Description:

The Advanced Surgical Technologist is responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures. Competence and confidence are essential for the role. The position requires staff to regularly respond to level II trauma activations and other emergent surgeries.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of surgical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or related field and/or three or more years of related experience in the operating room.
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • One-year acute care surgical experience beneficial.
  • Current CST -Certified Surgical Technologist or obtain within 18 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
