Position Description Surgical Technologist - Non-Certified
The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
Prepares equipment instruments supplies operating room and patients to ensure sterile field.
Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens etc.
Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
May assist in patient transport.

Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience. Basic Life Support Certification BLS with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
