Surgical Technologist - Noncertified

Overview:

Shift: Monday-Friday; 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM 
Call: 1 Night/week and every 4th weekend

Join our Operating Room team as a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist! Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you'll assist nurses and surgeons in providing intraoperative care while helping deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Across our three Quad Cities campuses, you'll gain experience in 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms, supporting a wide variety of surgical specialties in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with advanced technology and diverse case exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
• Assist surgeons and registered nurses during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
• Ensure correct patient identification and support safe patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instruments and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Assist with efficient room turnover and preparation between surgical cases.
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology. If not a graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology then equitable experience with documentation of similar training.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• CPR certification required.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of surgical asepsis, infection control, surgical terminology, and laser safety.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations appropriately.
