Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Operating Room)
Location: Syracuse, NY, 13215
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour evening shifts
- Shift times may include:
- 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $50-$54/Hourly
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures.
- Scrub and assist surgeons during surgical cases.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
- Anticipate surgical team needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anaesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support patient safety and quality standards in the operating room.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Surgical Technologist certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience (within the last 4 years).
- Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma centre, teaching hospital, or comparable acute care facility.
- Demonstrated scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties.
- OB scrub experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of pre-employment health screening.
- No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation.
- Ability to adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced surgical environment
