Location: Torrance, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)

Schedule

  • Days
  • 4x10-Hour Shifts
  • 6:15 AM – 4:15 PM

Compensation

  • Travel Pay: $1,400–$1,650/week (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to support surgical services in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have recent operating room experience, strong surgical case support skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
  • Active Surgical Technologist certification/license as required
  • Active credentials required at submission
  • Pending licenses/certifications will not be accepted
  • First-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications

  • BLS Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Neuro Surgery experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
  • Ensure proper setup of instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
  • Maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons during operative cases by passing instruments and supplies
  • Collaborate with nurses, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams
  • Monitor and maintain surgical equipment readiness
  • Accurately document clinical activities according to facility standards
  • Follow hospital policies, infection prevention guidelines, and patient safety protocols
  • Float to like units as needed to support patient care operations
