Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech)

Shift: Day Shift, 5x8s (Monday to Friday)

Pay Range: $44 to $49 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Petaluma, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and clinical competency in the operating room.
Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
Ensure all necessary equipment is functioning properly and safely.
Assist in positioning the patient on the operating table and prepare the patient for surgery.
Maintain the sterile field and pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly to any requests.
Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the operation.
Transport specimens to the lab and assist in post-operative cleanup and sterilization.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech in a hospital or surgical center setting.
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
