The San Francisco Rejuvenation Center, a premier outpatient surgery center specializing in plastic surgery, is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Materials Coordinator (MC) to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position is integral to ensuring seamless surgical care and efficient materials management, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.


Primary Responsibilities Certified Surgical Technician Duties:


  • Assist the surgical team during plastic surgery procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon and Registered Nurse.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and operating rooms, adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Demonstrate expertise in basic and advanced surgical setups specific to plastic surgery.
  • Maintain sterile fields throughout procedures and ensure patient safety.
  • Scrub, gown, and glove surgical team members while maintaining sterile techniques.
  • Arrange instruments and supplies according to the specific needs of plastic surgery procedures.
Materials Coordinator Duties:


  • Oversee inventory processes, including ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing supplies and materials.
  • Maintain stock levels based on surgical schedules and established par levels.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues with damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, invoices, and inventory counts.
  • Input and update physician preference cards to reflect current procedural needs.
  • Ensure timely preventive maintenance of surgical equipment with management support.
Qualifications


  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a surgical suite, preferably in plastic surgery or a related specialty.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology/Sterile Processing program.
  • National Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
