Surgical Technology Tenure-Track Faculty & Clinical Coordinator
This position is an on-campus, full-time, tenure-track appointment based in Champaign, Illinois covered by the Parkland Academic Employees (PAE) collective bargaining unit. The starting salary range is between $49,454.18 - 74,616.65, commensurate with certifications, years of teaching experience, and education received.

Tenure-Track Faculty teach a full-time load as per the Parkland Academic Employees (PAE) bargaining agreement. They advise and mentor students and participate in governance of their departments and the college. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the clinical education and providing administration, organization, and supervision of student clinical experiences. The Clinical Coordinator may also provide didactic and laboratory instruction in addition to clinical instruction.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies and the college. In addition:
Must hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist credential through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Associate degree from an accredited surgical technology program.
Three (3) years' full-time work experience as a surgical technologist in the scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the past five years.
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position required.
Verbal and mathematical abilities sufficient to organize the efficient use of the laboratory, operation of computers and software, and effective communication.
Ability to learn the program's computer resources, and new programs and equipment as technology changes.
Must meet the Surgical Technology program's Essential Qualifications. These may be found on the Surgical Technology website.
Current Surgical Technology Certification from NBSTSA.
Maintain all professional credentials required to teach in the area of discipline.
