Radwell International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Surplus Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team at our Corporate Headquarters in New Jersey. This is a full-time, regular at-will position that plays a critical role in supporting Radwell Internationals core business operations within the industrial electronics and automation industry. The Surplus Purchasing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring surplus industrial electronic parts, components, and equipment from a variety of sources including businesses, manufacturers, distributors, and individual sellers. This role requires a keen eye for value, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of the surplus and secondary market for industrial electronics.
Key Responsibilities:
The Surplus Purchasing Specialist will actively source and purchase surplus inventory of industrial electronic components, PLCs, drives, motors, and related equipment. The specialist will research and evaluate potential surplus lots to determine market value, resale potential, and acquisition cost-effectiveness. This individual will negotiate purchase prices and terms with sellers to maximize profitability and inventory value for Radwell International. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and surplus sellers to ensure a consistent pipeline of quality inventory. The specialist will coordinate with internal departments including sales, warehouse, and logistics to ensure smooth processing and integration of purchased surplus inventory. Accurate documentation of all purchasing transactions, including purchase orders, pricing records, and vendor information, is a key responsibility. The specialist will monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay informed about pricing fluctuations and emerging opportunities in the surplus marketplace. Conducting quality assessments and verifying the condition and authenticity of surplus items prior to purchase is also expected. The role requires meeting or exceeding purchasing targets and contributing to overall departmental goals and KPIs. The specialist will also assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to purchased inventory, including returns, disputes, or quality concerns.

WORK SCHEDULE
Work schedule is 8am-5pm. Employee is expected to come to work on time and adhere to accepted time-off policies.
SALARY RANGE INFORMATION:
SALARY RANGE: $30-35/hr

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an office position with a great deal of sitting at a computer required. Interaction with vendors via phone and email will occur. Radwear and Radwell access card must be worn at all times. Radwell Safety Policies must be adhered to at all times
