POSITION TITLE: SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN II

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Engineering Service Company (ESC) is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Survey CAD Technician II with experience in land surveying and drafting to work in our Aurora, Colorado office.

The day-to-day technical tasks associated with this position may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform CAD (AutoCAD Civil3D) task in the preparation of surveys (e.g. ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey with Topography, Boundary Layout, Subdivision Plats, Easement Exhibits, Construction, etc.).
  • Prepare Legal Descriptions and Survey Exhibits to meet client needs.
  • Perform project research and setup including Title Commitment research and review.
  • Interact and communicate with project team.
  • Learn and effectively utilize new or updated software applications as needed. The physical and mental demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities. This position is primarily office-based and typically performed while seated at a desk or table, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects up to 30 lbs. Employees regularly are required to walk, stand, or sit; communicate in person and by telephone; use hands to operate standard computer and field/office equipment; and perform detailed work requiring reading, analysis, problem-solving, and effective interaction with others.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma (or equivalent), College degree in surveying and geomatics, or related field, is a plus 

• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (CIVIL3D) software.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (specifically Xcel and Word).

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience with AutoCAD Civil3D specifically in survey projects is required.

• Ability to read and understand Land Surveys, Surveying acronyms and language, Architectural, Structural and Civil Engineering Site Plans.

COMPENSATION

• This is a non-exempt, full-time position.  The expected salary ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
