The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey CAD Technician to join our technical staff. This role is critical to transforming field survey data into accurate, organized, and professional CAD drawings for a variety of residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA, subdivision, and construction survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Translate field-collected survey data into clean, well-organized CAD drawings
Collaborate closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy and consistency
Maintain drawing standards and file management procedures
Edit and revise plans based on feedback and updated survey data
Assist in the preparation of maps, plats, and legal descriptions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in drafting or CAD preferred
5+ years of experience in survey drafting using AutoCAD (Civil 3D strongly preferred)
Solid understanding of surveying principles, field procedures, and legal mapping requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with GIS and related geospatial software (preferred)
Experience with deed plotting, right-of-way mapping, and land development plans (preferred)
Ability to research and evaluate zoning requirements for projects
Compensation and Benefits:
