Survey CAD Technician

Description

• Prepare accurate survey maps, plats, and CAD drawings utilizing field survey data and project specifications.
• Produce a variety of survey deliverables including Lot Stake-Outs (typically 50" x 100" residential lots), Mortgage Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Elevation Certificates, Boundary Surveys, As-Built Surveys, and related mapping products.
• Support high-volume production surveying projects with a primary focus on; Lot House Stake-Outs, Final Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, Tree Surveys, Small Residential Projects, Residential New Construction Developments
• Interpret survey notes, legal descriptions, deeds, and field data to create precise and compliant survey drawings.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft, edit, and revise survey plans while maintaining company drafting standards and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with surveyors, field crews, and project teams to ensure timely project completion and accuracy of deliverables.
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting turnaround expectations, with many standard residential survey projects completed within a 15 to 20-minute production window.
• Verify drawing accuracy, dimensions, elevations, and boundary information prior to final submission.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, and the ability to work with PDF documents and electronic project files.
• No specific degree or formal education requirement.
• Must have hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (any version 2012 or newer).
• Ability to interpret survey field data and translate information into accurate CAD drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Experience supporting residential land surveying and new construction projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
