This position works independently on a variety of projects in different offices providing CAD generated drawings to Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, Architects, Landscape Architects, and others. Responsibilities: Creates clear and graphically representational documents utilizing computer assisted engineering and design software ensuring project deliverables are made according to quality standards. Provides support on complex projects in various offices by calculating, analyzing, organizing, coordinating and researching complex sets of data and information. Processes survey data, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and boundaries. Prepares descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents. Coordinates findings with the work of engineers, clients, and others involved in projects. Ensures technical accuracy, standard surveying practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports, plans and exhibits, etc. Identifies problems and recommends solutions to supervisor(s). Provides a high level of attention and focus towards the creation of complex technical documents that are scrutinized for accuracy and consistency and are regularly revised and reviewed. Reviews and critiques drawings and provides a quality check on others work. Prepares cost and quantity estimates. May act as project specific lead for technical work of others. Performs other duties as assigned.
