A small but growing Civil Engineering firm located near Gibbsboro, NJ is seeking an Survey Crew Chief to join their team. The majority of the firm"s survey work consists of construction surveying for residential and commercial construction projects along with boundary and topographic surveys in support of the firm"s engineering department. Other work includes ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, FEMA Elevation Certificates, as-built surveys, etc. Responsibilities: *Act as Party Chief on a one or two person crew. *Contact with clients and the client"s field representatives. *Ability to train personnel in all aspects of field surveying practices. *Prioritize field schedule to ensure delivery of survey projects on time and within budget. *Provide proper direction to field crew members. *Produce proper field notes, reports and cut sheets as needed. Experience Required: *Experienced with survey calculations for residential and commercial construction layout. *Understands proper use of robotic and GPS equipment for control surveys, location surveys, topographic surveys and construction surveying. *Experience as a party chief in construction stakeout for site improvements and residential housing. *Able to think critically and communicate effectively. *Have a valid Driver"s License. *Proficiency in survey software applications such as data collector software and Autodesk software. *Be able to properly represent the firm and to easily communicate with the firm"s clients at job sites. *Able to work effectively in a team atmosphere and work well with other employees.
