Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage field survey crews to execute surveying projects efficiently.
• Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction surveys with precision.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software for accurate data collection.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
• Train and mentor junior survey staff on best practices and safety protocols.
• Review and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and maintain detailed field notes and reports.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with leadership experience preferred.
• Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Illinois.
• Proficient in using survey instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GPS).
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work in various outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project needs.
