The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office.Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of a Land Surveyor, the Survey Instrument Technician operates and maintains precision surveying equipment to collect accurate field data. This role supports surveys of all types, including precise control networks, topographic mapping, aerial targeting, boundary retracement, ALTA Surveys, and construction staking. Primarily in the field, performing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.DutiesAssist the Land Surveyor(s) in planning and executing field surveys (boundary, topographic, construction, and as‑built)Operate and oversee the use of survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and data collectorsMeasure and record distances, angles, elevations, and coordinatesEnsure accuracy and completeness of field data collectionPerform calculations, verify measurements and data checks in the fieldMaintain field notes, logs, and digital recordsEnsure proper care, calibration, and maintenance of survey equipmentEnforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with job site regulationsCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsJob Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)Minimum Education: High School or equivalentEntry level role.
