Survey Manager/Land Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple land surveying projects simultaneously

• Develop scopes of work, schedules, and project budgets

• Provide technical leadership to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables

• Lead and mentor a team of field and office survey professionals

• Oversee the preparation of plats, legal descriptions, topographic surveys, TxDOT right-of-way maps, and construction staking

• Coordinate field operations and allocate project resources

• Maintain client relationships, serve as the primary point of contact, and drive business development

• Prepare proposals, negotiate fees, and follow up on invoicing and collections

• Ensure QA/QC processes and compliance with firm standards

• Contribute to firm-wide sales goals and strategic project pursuits

• Support training, hiring, and talent development within the survey team

Required Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas

• Minimum 10 years of land surveying experience, including boundary, construction, and topographic surveys

• At least 5 years of experience managing survey teams and projects

• Experience working with TxDOT standards and deliverables

• Strong proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Geopak, Carlson Survey, and C&G

• Business development skills and client-facing experience

• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
