Impact Recruitment is currently partnered with a well-established Civil Engineering, Surveying, and Planning firm seeking a Survey Technician in Pleasanton, California. The survey Technician will provide high-quality production work to accomplish major project tasks, such as: local agency research for survey control information, survey related documents, and filed survey maps; preparation of survey deliverables, including topographic mapping, survey maps, and documents; coordination of submittals; and reviewing of documents, maps, and other work products.

Under the direction of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor, this position affords the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a career in the land surveying industry. This position involves the use of several industry standard software suites, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Microsoft Office, Trimble Business Center, and Adobe Acrobat.

Our client works on a wide variety of projects with both public and private clients. Projects include residential and commercial development from single lots to large master-planned communities, large-scale public infrastructure projects (utilities, bridges, waterways).

What You Will Need:
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office & Windows, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs)
  • Familiarity with file management and indexing
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • A demonstrated ability to:
    • Meet deadlines and see a task through to completion
    • Work independently and as part of a team
    • Communicate effectively (written and verbal)
    • Take direction well


What Will Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
  • Drafting experience
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency
  • Experience with the A/E/C industry
  • Ability to read plans and research County document

Compensation:
Compensation for the position is based on education, knowledge, skills, attitude, and experience.
